Two bad quarters doomed Galeton against Bucktail in girls' basketball action Monday.

The Bucks jumped out to an 11-5 first quarter lead with Galeton clawing their way back in the second, out scoring Bucktail 13-12 to cut it to 23-18 at the half.

It was deja vu for the Tigers in the third quarter as Bucktail out scored them 19-12 to take a 42-30 into the fourth. It was an even fourth quarter and the Bucks held on.

Latascia Shadle led the Tigers with 18 points while Andi Leach added 11. McKaylah Cochran and Shaleigh Proctor netted four points each while April Howell added two.

Maria Morgan led Bucktail with 30 points.

Galeton won the JV game 34-29 beind 17 from Talia Hatch and 11 from Ashley Cizek.
