WAVERLY, N.Y. - The Tioga boys bowlers defeated Newark Valley 3-1 on Tuesday while the girls fell 4-0.

The Tigers had games of 950, 943 and 869 for 2762 to edge Newark Valley's 838, 926 and 949 for 2713.

On the girl's side Tioga had games of 672, 696 and 643 for 2011 while the Lady Cardinals had games of 830, 863 and 843 for 2534.

Chris Potucek's 645 behind games of 233, 212 and 200 led Tioga while teammate Travis Moyer shot 580 behind games of 196, 213 and 171.

Also for the Tigers, Alex Boughton rolled 544 with games of 222, 180 and 142; Nick Welch shot 486 with games of 136, 181 and 169; Tyler Chesebro rolled 480 behind games of 158, 155 and 167 and Josh Welch rolled 560 with games of 141, 157 and 162.

David Clark's 653 led Newark Valley with games of 212, 243 and 199.

On the girl's side Tioga's Ashley Sherman rolled 529 with games of 191, 177 and 161 while teammate Maddie Cotton scored 429 with games of 132, 175 and 122 and Genevieve Burnett shot 427 with games of 145, 142 and 140.

Also for the Tigers Anna Evanek rolled 429 with games of 132, 175 and 122 and Rachael Schweiger scored 248 with games of 92, 72 and 84.

Newark Valley's Kirsten Chase rolled 735 to lead all bowlers with games of 224, 289 and 222.

In exhibition action for Tioga Max Miller rolled 82, 82 and 94 for 259, Eric Sherman rolled 180, 126 and 148 for 454, Jason Sherman rolled 107, 127 and 93 for 327 and Zack Krapf rolled 553 while 191, 186 and 176.

The Crusaders came away with IAC boy's and girl's bowling wins on Tuesday.

The Notre Dame boys had scores of 895, 912 and 943 for 2750 against Marathon's 822, 981 and 888 for 2691.

On the girl's side Notre Dame scores games of 672, 645 and 648 for 1965 compared to Marathon's 653, 693 and 599 for 1945.

Joel Siedman led the Crusader boys with a score of 673 behind games of 236, 223 and 214 while Alex Sherman, of Barton, shot 595 with games of 172, 214 and 209.

Also for Notre Dame Mathew Dieg, of Athens, shot 577 behind games of 192, 174 and 211; Chris Tuma rolled 438 behind games of 141, 158 and 139; Riccardo Gennali shot 429 behind games of 154, 140 and 135 and Vincent Fazzari rolled 422 with games of 109, 143 and 170.

Mike Phillips led Marathon with a 571 behind games of 180, 191 and 200.
