Tioga falls in quarters at Horseheads Classic
HORSEHEADS, N.Y. - Tioga fell in the quarterfinals at the Horseheads Classic Saturday.
The Tigers went 2-6 in pool play but got into the main tournament by beating France Lewis in the play-in-game. However, they fell to Warwick in the quarterfinals.
In pool play Tioga split with East Hampton and Maine-Endwell 1-1 while getting swept by Eden and Francis Lewis 0-2.
Bry Godfrey had seven points, 25 kills and 16 digs for the Tigers while Donnette Hutchison had two kills and 37 digs.
Also for Tioga, Malley Bowen had 29 points, seven kills, 58 assists and eight digs, Charlsie Bowen had seven points, one block and five kills, Lexi Swagler had eight points, six blocks, 12 kills and two digs, Kennadi Lubertowicz had five points, nine kills, three assists and three digs, Alyssa Mosher had one point, seven kills and one dig, Kayle Millage had three points, one kill and 11 digs, Rachael Graham had five points, three kills and two digs, Sarah Heveland had seven points and 10 digs, Emily Rathke had nine points, two kills and 15 digs and Liz Kunkler had a point and a kill.
Tioga will host Newark Valley Monday.

The Tigers picked up a win in cross-NTL play volleyball play Saturday.
Shannon Madigan had 10 points, two aces, 11 kills and 12 digs for Mansfield while Cassie Frederick had 13 points, two aces, seven kills, 29 assists and 10 digs.
Britta Berguson had 10 points, two aces, eight kills and eight digs, Mariah Berguson had eight points, two aces, six kills and eight digs, Kaitlin Garverick had six points and two aces, Becca Toothaker had eight kills, Lisa Roupp had eight assists and Lia Fritsch added 10 digs.
Mansfield is at Williamson Tuesday.
