TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - The Tioga field hockey team continued their recent hot play, defeating Moravia 2-1 for their fourth win in the past six games.

Tioga got on the board at 18:53 of the first half when Dani Barto scored for the Tigers.

Tioga added to the lead at 22:09 of the second half when Taylor Ayres scored off a feed from Roxy Hutchison to put the Tigers on top 2-0.

Moravia cut the deficit to one with 8:02 left in the game when Malorie Jones scored off a Cierra Hingston assist. Tioga's defense held them from there to get the win.

Tioga had seven shots and eight penalty corners and Moravia had three shots and five corners.

Kirsten Douglas had two saves in goal and Moravia's goalie Samantha Merical had five saves.
