Tioga gets revenge, downs Edison
TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. - Tioga avenged an early season loss, beating Edison 3-1 in IAC volleyball action Friday.
Tioga took the first match 25-12 after shooting out to a 13-0 lead. Edison rallied back to win the next match 25-23 but the Tigers held on to take the third match 27-25.
In the final match Tioga ran away 25-12.
"An outstanding performance by both teams," Tioga coach Des Ford said. "We always have great matches against TAE."
Malley Bowen had 17 points, 22 assists and 14 digs for the Tigers while Bry Godfrey had six points, 15 kills and 10 digs.
Kennadi Lubertowicz added 10 points and nine assists, Charlsie Bowen had eight points and five kills, Lexi Swagler had one point, two kills, three blocks and six digs and Donnette Hutchison added three points and three kills.
For Edison Michelle Woychak had eight kills and 17 digs while Molleigh Malanoski had three aces, 15 points and 12 assists.
Katelyn Warren added 11 points, six blocks and 11 digs.
Tioga won the JV match 25-19 and 25-9.
