Sophomore Noah Schumacher shot an 86 to lead Tioga to a fourth-place finish in the Small School Division of the IAC boys golf championships here Wednesday afternoon at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.

Schumacher finished sixth in the individual standings. Marathon's Zack Brandstadt was low medalist with a 78, while Marathon's Cody Morrison and Union Springs' Austin Thomas both shot rounds of 79.

Union Springs won the Small School team title with a 460. Marathon was runner-up at 465, Candor was third at 487, Tioga tallied 491 and Moravia was fifth at 496.

Jeff Lynch shot a 95 for the Tigers, while Dustin Elston shot a 102, Shane Gowan and Ryan Campbell both carded rounds of 104 and Jacob Coddington tacked on a 112.

"I'm pretty happy with the score our guys put up on the board today," said Tioga coach Joe Robinson.

"For Dustin Elston to shoot a 102, being a first-year golfer and having never played on that course … it's a pretty good score," added Robinson.
