WAVERLY, N.Y. - Tioga's Malley Bowen took second overall in the IAC girls' pentathlon Monday. She was first in small school.

Bowen won the high jump in 1.32 meters and the shot put in 7.37 meters.

She was second in the 100 hurdles in 17.97 and in the long jump at 4.43 meters. Bowen took third in the 800 at 2:52.10.

She scored Tioga eight team points.

On the boys' side Waverly's Jon Puusalu was second overall while Tioga's Tyler Predix was fourth and Shane Snover fifth. Predix was third in small school while Snover took fourth.

Snover came in the third in the 110 hurdles at 18.77 with Puusalu fifth at 18.99 and Predix sixth at 19.40.

Predix was third in the shot put at 9.63 meters while Puusalu was fourth at 9.55 meters and Snover sixth at 8.41 meters.

Puusalu was second in the long jump at 5.50 meters with Snover third at 5.33 meters and Predix fifth at 5.02 meters.

Predix won the high jump in 1.73 meters while Puusalu was second in 1.68 meters. Snover was sixth in 1.42 meters.

Puusalu won the 1500 in 5:03.76 with Predix second at 5:14.85 and Snover third at 5:15.59.

Tioga now has nine team points while Waverly scored eight.

In the girls' 2000 steeplechase Waverly's Kelsey Frank was third overall in 8:17.21 while teammate Katelyn Moore was sixth in 8:26.99. Tioga's Emily Stansfield was 14th overall in 10:11.55 and fifth in small school.

In the boys' 3000 meter steeplechase Notre Dame's Garrett Butters was fourth in 11:16.42. His teammate Mike DiFabio was seventh in 12:07.39.

Tioga's Mike Williams was eighth overall in 12:28.23 and second in the small school. His teammate Jake Schweiger was 11th in 16:17.50 and took fifth in small school.
