Students from Tioga Tae Kwon Do, 210 Broad St. in Waverly, recently competed in the 2012 Pennsylvania State Open Championship in State College. For many of them, this was their first competitive tournament, where they had an opportunity to compete in breaking, forms and sparring against martial arts schools from across the Northeast Region. Overall, the students did exceptionally well, with most placing in the top ranks in one or more of their divisions! Tioga Tae Kwon Do received the "Most Supportive School" award for having the most students registered from any single school.

Additionally, Master Instructor Paul Mittan was recognized by Grand Master Sam Chaar with the 2012 Pennsylvania State Open Championship Appreciation Award for his support and dedication to the martial arts community.
