Tioga field hockey falls at Marathon

share thisMarathon brought an end to Tioga's season with a 6-1 victory in sectional play on Tuesday afternoon.
Tomi-Lynn Cole had a goal for Tioga at 9:07 of the first half, off an assist from Kari Walkley for the Tigers' lone goal of the game.
Marathon got goals at 22:30 from Stephanie Fiske, at 16:05 from Tatum Knapp off an assist from Marta Malmberg, and at 6:27 from Sarah Harden-Marshall off an assist from Alexis Rought.
Rought scored at 22:58 of the second half and Knapp scored at 18:27, while McKenna White capped the scoring at 14:07 of the second half.
Tioga had three shots and four corners and Marathon had 16 shots and 12 corners.
Whitney Wolfe had nine saves for Tioga and CD Edwards had one save for Marathon.
