The Towanda swim team swept Central Mountain Tuesday.

The Lady Knights won 133-26 while the boys won 106-74.

On the girls' side, Towanda won the 200 yard medley relay in 2:09.50 with a team of Morgan Dreisch, Courtney Locke, Sarah Lamphere and Meredith Corbett.

Dreisch then led a sweep in the 200 free, winning the event in 2:31.46 followed by Destiny Foster and Ruth Conklin.

Locke then led a sweep in the 200 IM with a new freshman record of 2:33.17. Lamphere, who was the previous record holder, took second while Ronnie Black was third.

Corbett won the 50 free in 28.47 with Hailey Innocenzo took second. Towanda's Caroline Vana won the diving with a score of 128.45.

Locke won the 100 fly in 1:14.50 with Corbett second. Corbett's time of 1:16.99 qualified her for districts.

Knight Kaylyn Forbes won the 100 free in 1:06.23 with Innocenzo second while Foster led a Towanda sweep in the 500 free with a time of 7:11.82. Conklin was second while Demi Cuevas took third.

The Black Knight 200 free relay team of Vana, Alex Smith, Conklin and Cuevas won in 1:55.00. In the other Towanda relay Dresich qualified for districts in the 50 free, leading off with a time of 28.97.

Lamphere led a sweep in the 100 backstroke with a winning time of 1:12.46. Dreisch was second with Black third. Vana would take second in the 100 breaststroke followed by Forbes in third.

Towanda's 400 free relay team of Corbett, Forbes, Locke and Lamphere won in 4:17.37.

On the boys' side, the Towanda 200 medley relay of Austin Kriner, Derrick Cole, Michael Caine and Blake Burlingame won in 1:53.54. That was followed by Christian Basse taking third in the 200 free while teammate Alex Sedor qualified for districts in the event with a time of 2:08.78.

Caine would take third in the 200 IM.

Burlingame won the 50 free in 23:07 with teammate Michael Kerrick second. Fellow Knights Tyler Basse (138.70 points) and Josh Morgan went 1-2 in diving. Schuyler Smith finished third in the 100 fly.

Burlingame led a Knight sweep of the 100 free with a winning time of 53.29 while Caine and Kriner took second and third. Basse followed by winning the 500 in 5:40. while Cole took third.

Towanda's 200 free relay of Smith, Caine, Kerrick and Burlingame won in 1:38.52. Kriner then took second in the 100 backstroke while teammate Jimmy Tice was third in the 100 breaststroke.

Towanda's 400 free relay team of Garrett Johnson, Kriner, Kerrick and Cole won in 4:01.07.

"Both teams have had their fair share of swim meets, days off and two hour delays for the week," Towanda coach Mike Locke said. "It's time to get back in the pool and get some work done. I am very happy with how well the are swimming, it's just a matter of getting the yardage under our belts. Three months of training comes down to one day next week, and we want to be prepared."
