The Towanda junior high track and field teams defeated Athens on Wednesday, the girls winning 81-56 and the boys winning 92-31.

For the girls in the 100 meters Athens' Breana Gambrell won in 13.51 and in the 200 Alectra Cannavino of Athens won in 31.98.

Ally Tama of Towanda won the 400 in 1:05.09 and Suzanna Searls of Athens won the 800 in 3:03.7.

In the 1600 Ezoza Ismalova won for Towanda in 6:46.14.

In the 75 hurdles Justine Vargason of Towanda won in 19.70 and in the 4x100 relay Athens' Sarah Montrose, Gambrell, Cannavino and Arianna Bernard won in 58.89.

Towanda's team of Tama, Madi Doss, Kinslee Kriner and Sierra Cazassa won the 4x400 relay in 5:04.29.

Tama won the high jump at 4-feet, 8-inches and Gambrell won the long jump at 13-feet, 11-inches, while Athens' Cassie McDonald won the triple jump at 26-feet, 4-inches.

Jessica Tice of Towanda won the shot at 33-feet and the discus at 63-feet.

For the boys Towanda's Larry Nichols won the 100 in 12.73, and in the 200 Nichols won in 27.25, while Aiden Sharma of Athens won the 400 in 1:06.36.

Griffin Sites of Towanda won the 800 in 2:47.71 and he won the 1600 in 5:55.47.

Kris Watkins of Towanda won the 75 hurdles in 15.78 and in the 4x100 relay Towanda's team of Nichols, Joe Koss, McNeal and Calaman won in 51.73.

In the 4x400 relay Towanda's team of Crayton, Blaze Devine, Anthony Vogel and Sparbanie won in 4:39.6.

Watkins won the high jump for Towanda at 4-feet, 4-inches and Nichols won the long jump at 14-feet, 7-inches, while Athens' Zach Hatch won the shot at 37-feet, 9-inches.

Todd Koss won the triple jump at 30-feet, 11-inches and Joe Koss won the discus at 78-feet, 9-inches.
