SAYRE - Towanda boys and girls were able to top Sayre in swimming action Friday.

The girls came from behind to edge the Redskins 64-63 while the boys won 123-59.

The Lady Redskins won the 200 yard medley relay in 2:10.53 with a team of Emily Schamel, Grace McClelland, Katherine Porter and Megan Middlebrook.

In the 200 free Towanda's Ruth Conklin won in 2:40.85 followed by Sayre's Middlebrook (2:49.39) and Madison Freidrichsen (3:19.81).

Knight Courtney Locke won the 200 IM in 2:28.95 followed by McClelland (2:36.05) and Schamel (3:00.18).

Porter won the 50 free in 26.83 with Towanda's Alex Gannon (30.62) and Elizabeth Schultz (31.37) in second and third. Towanda's Caroline Vana won the diving with 109.55 points.

Porter took the 100 fly in 1:00.76.

Gannon won the 100 free in 1:09.17 followed by Middlebrook (1:12.35) and fellow Knight Abby Coon in third at 1:18.91.

Sayre's 200 free relay of Porter, Middlebrook, Schamel and McClelland won in 1:56.40.

Locke won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.27 followed by Schamel (1:16.81) and Coon (1:28.20).

Schultz won the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.16 followed by McClelland (1:23.02) and Vana (1:30.65).

On the boys' side Towanda's team of Austin Kriner, Derrick Cole, Mike Caine and Keith Lamphere won the 200 medley relay in 1:55.51.

Cole won the 200 free in 2:02.70 followed by teammates Lamphere (2:18) and Dalton Schultz (2:21.26).

Sayre's Altan Frantz won the 200 IM in 2:12.18 followed by Towanda's Matt Schultz (2:32.82) and Caine (2:33.14).

Towanda's Blake Burlingame won the 50 free in 23.11 with teammates Kerrick (25.10) and Alex Sedor (25.89) second and third.

Sayre's Juan Velazquez won the diving with 137.40 points followed by Knights Tyler Basse (130.25) and Joshua Morgan (116.35).

Frantz won the 100 fly in 58.24 followed by teammate Phillip Bennett (1:03.23) and Caine (1:04.86).

Burlingame won the 100 free in 53.02 with Sayre's Josh Wolcott (55.64) second and Kriner (55.99) third.

Knight Schuyler Smith led a sweep of the 500 free in 5:55.34. Sedor (6:03.79) was second with Dalton Schultz (6:34.98) third.

Towanda's 200 free relay of Cole, Kerrick, Caine and Burlingame won in 1:36.36.

Kriner won the backstroke in 1:04.49 with teammate Kerrick (1:10.85) second and Bennett (1:12.63) third.

Towanda's Jim Tice won the breaststroke in 1:15.47 with teammate Matt Schultz (1:15.90) second and Velazquez (1:18.97) third.

The Black Knight team of Kriner, Smith, Kerrick and Sedor won the 400 free in 3:49.72.

Towanda had three boys swimmers earn district times.

Cole in the fly, Sedor in the 50 and Smith in the 500.
