The Towanda girls' tennis team notched a 7-0 victory over Williamson on Thursday afternoon.

Kaitlin Hallabuk won 6-1, 6-1 over Kim Tulanowski at first singles and Carly Chaffee won 6-0, 6-0 over Brooke Gottwald at second singles, while Hannah Innocenzo won 6-1, 6-0 over Danielle Bolt at third singles.

Melina Hoffman won 6-2, 6-0 over Kim Wilber at fourth singles and Elizabeth Vana won 6-0, 6-0 over Thea Doty at fifth singles.

In doubles, Kaylyn Forbes and Erica Place won 6-4, 6-2 over Tulanowski and Gottwald at first doubles and Chaffee and Ocianna Valenzuela won 6-2, 6-0 over Bolt and Anna Copp at second doubles.

Towanda finishes the regular season at 11-7 and will compete in team districts on Oct. 9 at Bloomsburg University.

Liberty 6, Galeton 1

Liberty's Jourdyn Buckheit won 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 over Kassi Brown at second singles and Katey McCloskey won 6-1, 6-1 over April Howell at third singles.

Savannah Alexyn won 6-1, 6-2 over Kelly Murray at third singles and Randi Young and Cheyanne James won 6-4, 7-5 at fifth singles.

Noelle Payne and McClosey beat Andi Leach and Brown 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 at first doubles and Buckheit and Alexyn won 7-5, 6-4 over Howell and Murray at second doubles.

Galeton's win came at first singles as Leach beat Payne 6-3, 6-1.
