The Towanda Junior baseball defeated RTL 10-3 Wednesday.

Tyler Bidlack had the big bat, going 4-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while Caleb Lines was 3-for-4 with two runs and 2-RBI.

Ben Seymour and Shane Martin both went 2-for-2. Seymour added two runs and 2-RBI while Martin knocked in two runs as well.

Lars Thomason and Troy Pierce also had hits with Thomason knocking a run in.

Bidlack started and went one inning with one hit. Thomason finished out the final six with five hits, two earned runs and five strikeouts. He got the win.

Otis had two hits for RTL while Morrison and Simpson also had hits.

Morrison started with six strikeouts, seven hits and eight earned runs while Brewer finished out with four hits, four earned runs and three strikeouts.

Towanda will take on Sayre Friday with 5:30 p.m. start.

East Smithfield minors pick up win number seven

The East Smithfield (ESLL) Minor Baseball team sponsored by Laurel Hill Veterinary Services comes up with a win against Ridgebury (RLL) on Tuesday evening at the Ridgebury Ball Field with a final score of 17-5.

Pitching 2 2/3 solid innings for ESLL, Tucker Brown had four strikeouts, one walk and gave up three hits. Brown left the mound with an 8-1 lead for ESLL. Closer Nathaniel Allen relieved Brown striking out three, walking four and giving up four hits.

Anton Smith went 1-1 with three walks, scoring four times for ESLL. Tucker Brown scored twice for ESLL after walking on base once and earning base on a wild pitch. Jaren Glisson went 2-4 with three RBIs. Nathaniel Allen went 2-2 with a walk and earned two RBIs. Aaron Williams and Alex Kellogg (twice) scored for ESLL after walking on base. Taking full advantage of a wild pitch, Troy Jennings managed a run scored for ESLL as well. Josiah Talladay went 1-1 with two walks and scored all three times at bat for ESLL. Talladay had a beautiful steal the home plate in the top of the second inning. But the player of the game was Dylan Comstock who led the team with five RBIs going 3-3 with two doubles and a single.

Pitching for RLL were Nick Vosburgh, Logan Earls and Logan Aloi. The hits for RLL were put up by Mason King, Logan Earls, Will Greene, Anthony Nickson and Nick Vosburgh. Scoring for RLL were Logan Aloi, Greene (twice), and Vosburgh (twice).
