Several local high school runners competed at the Northeast Footlocker Invitational Saturday held at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx borough of New York City.

Troy's Casey Norton was the highest finisher in either seeded race, taking 39th overall in the girl's race at 19:47.5. Wyalusing's Erika Huffman was 83rd.

In the boy's seeded race, Northeast Bradford's Curt Jewett was 54th in 16:51 while fellow Panther Sam Williams was 57th in 16:55. Towanda's Aaron Valoroso finished 83rd in 17:13.

The PIAA Class A runner-up Luke Jones of Elk Lake was 19th at 16:10.

In the freshman boys race, Northeast Bradford's Levi Upham was second overall in 17:37 while in the sophomore race, fellow Panther Derek Allabaugh was 64th in 19:58.
