Senior Alexa Tsiknas, a Troy graduate, finished second the "B" group of the pole vault to highlight Mansfield's efforts in the second day of the Shamrock Invitational at Coastal Carolina Friday.

Tsiknas was locked in a battle with Ohio State's Emily Schwartz with both vaulters clearing 3.35. Tsiknas and Schwartz both missed their first two attempts at 3.50. Schwartz won the event by clearing 3.50 on her final attempt while Tsiknas missed.

In other events, Jenna Hoefer finished 38th in the hammer throw with a toss of 117-06.

The men's 4x200 relay team of Max Lalwani, Latimore Campbell, Trenton Schreiber and Yaw Boateng finished 18th overall with a time of 1:31.56.

The women's 4x200 relay team of Olivia Lopes, Madisen Slagle, Allison Macon and Courtney Wilson was 22nd with a mark of 1:50.34.

The Shamrock Invitational continues through Saturday.
