WILLIAMSPORT - Top seed David Rodenhizer saw no surprises in the opening day of the District IV Singles tournament as he rolled to the semi-finals.

Who he'll face on Monday is a little more shocking, though.

Rodenhizer will take on fellow NTLer Aaron Dillman of Wellsboro who pulled two upsets en route to the semi-finals.

In the first round Rodenhizer beat Muncy's Mikey Fornwalt 6-0, 6-0 then defeated Selinsgrove's Rob Smith 6-0, 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals. In the quarters the Black Knight continued to roll, beating Lewisburg's Kerry Shutt 6-0, 6-1 to earn a finals berth.

In Dillman's first match he beat Loyalsock's Mark Odorizzi 6-2, 6-1 then rallied to beat fifth seed Josh Fry of Hughesville 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. In the quarters Dillman upset fourth seed Bryce Jones of South Wililamsport 6-0, 6-2.

On the other side of the bracket are second seed Ben Koch of Lewisburg taking on Loyalsock's Caleb Vuocolo.

Vuocolo defeated Cowanesque Valley's Chandler Mastin, 6-4, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.

Mastin won his opener 6-0, 6-0 over Central Columbia's Tristan Snyder and then he won 6-4, 6-3 over Landon Walter of Mifflinburg.

Vuocolo won 6-0, 6-0 over Muncy's Josh Lloyd and 8-6, 6-0 over Jordan Dugan of Galeton.

Dugan won his first match, a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Danville's Drew Pace.

In the first round Dugan's teammate Dakota Shadle fell 7-5, 6-4 to Selinsgrove's Smith while Wellsboro's Garrett Carr lost to Mifflinburg's Landion Walter 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

Liberty's twosome won out of the preliminaries to reach the main draw. In the first round Dakota Alexyn fell to Koch 6-0, 6-0 while Andrew Nadas lost to Shutt 6-0, 6-1.

Towanda's Danny Christian and CV's Dean Lee lost in the preliminaries.
