Two-on-two tournament held to raise money to help storm victims
SAYRE - Two Sayre students, Adrienne Malorzo and Walter Wampole, hosted a two-on-two basketball tournament on Wednesday night to help raise money to aid people who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The event was held to help out Sayre graduate Jessica Mitchell, who teaches in Kenasburg, N.J. The school was hit hard by the storm and the tournament was used to try and help raise money for supplies for the school.
It was a co-ed tournament and it was won by Nate Williams and Chloe Tracy, both of Sayre. Liz and Marshall Higley finished second.
The third place team was Cassidy and Kyle Farr and the fourth-place team was Riley Card and Blair Wampole.
