Watson, Learn win Riverfest 5K
Two local cross-country runners won the Riverfest 5K recently.
Emmett Watson was the overall male winner in 17:42.14 while Violet Learn was the top female finisher in 19:53.56.
In the 10 and under age group Roger Learn III won the male division in 25:46.92. In the 11-14 age group the male winner was Simon Smith with Cole Beckwith second and Bryton Carrington third. the female winner was Loren Soden in 27:31.83 with Shelby Park second.
Watson won the 15-19 division as well with Eddie Larcom second and Schuyler Smith third. Learn was the winner of the female 15-19 division with Erika Huffman second and Paige Bennett third.
Jeffrey Shanks won the 20-29 male division in 20:28.24 with Christopher Coon second. Tabitha Dunn won the female 20-29 division in 22:25.51 with Jessica Delameter second and Angeline Ackerson third.
Chris Richlin ran 22:10.09 to win the 30-39 division with Patrick Kielty second and Caleb Campbell third. Nancy Kinner won the female 30-39 division in 23:22.32 with Jessica Sivers second.
Brad Delameter won the male 40-49 division in 21:42.50 with John Voda second. Sharon May won the 40-49 female division in 26:03.48 with Rita Braymiller second and Shannon VanSkiver third.
Frank Watson won the 50-59 male division in 22:34 with Bill Mosier second and David Malkemes third. Kay Patton won the female 50-59 division in 28:16.34 with Tonita Walters second and Mary Lou Kauffmann third.
Robert Kern won the men's 60 and over division in 24:07.49 with Ron Robinson second.
