Waverly boys rally for win
The Wolverines rallied from a 14-7 first quarter deficit for a 59-41 win over Edison on Tuesday.
Waverly reversed the first-quarter score in the second quarter to make it 21-21 at the half, and then outscored Edison 23-8 in the third and 38-20 in the second half to get the win.
Cody Marchese had 17 points and Dylan Perry and Patric Bronson each had 13 in the victory.
Alex Uhl had five points for Waverly and Chris Raupers had four points, while Zach Cooney had three points and Ryan McFarland and Tim Sutton had two points each.
Bronson had a double-double with 10 boards and Raupers had six rebounds, Marchese had seven assists and Cooney finished with four steals.
Waverly won the JV game 66-42 with Hunter Bodine scoring 20 and Peyton Miller getting 13 in the win.
Notre Dame 72, Newfield 54
The Crusaders hit a season-high nine threes in the win on Tuesday.
Hunter Thomas had 16 points, with three threes, Devonte Gaskins had 11 and Jonas McCaig had nine, on three threes.
Wyatt Martin had eight for Notre Dame, Derek Marshall had seven and Darius Garvin had six, while Sean Brown and Nate Niles both added five points.
Ryan Hale had three in the game and Devon Jackson had two points.
Jackson had seven boards and Garvin had seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks.
Newfield's JV stayed unbeaten with a 53-40 win. Ridgebury's Parker May led the Crusaders with 18 in the loss.
Notre Dame is at Waverly on Friday.
Spencer Van-Etten 62, Tioga 39
Tioga got nine points from Dan Graves in the loss on Tuesday.
John Dougherty and Zach Worthington each had six for the Tigers and Dakota Skinner had five points.
Dylan Babcock and Sam Burns both had four points, while Dustin Sherman had three points and Dalton Wojcuich had two points.
Tioga won the JV game 49-40 with Adan Zwierlein leading the Tigers with 14.
