Waverly boys took second at the Parkhurst Invitational with 70 points on Saturday.

Binghamton won with 78 while Vestal was third with 67.

The 1600 relay team of Cole Mensch, Rich Northrop, Ryan McFarland and Sean Swartwood won in 3:27.03.

Jeff Mastrantuono also won the pole vault in 14-feet even while Nick Puusalu won the 200 in 23.09 with McFarland second in 23.12.

The Wolverine 400 relay was second with a new school record in 43.89 behind a team of Puusalu, McFarland, Mastrantuono and Swartwood.

Cole Mensch took second in the 400 hurdles in 56.08, another school record, while also taking fourth in the 110 hurdles in 15.93.

Swartwood was third in the 400 at 51.83, Puusalu took fourth in the long jump at 21-feet, 3 ¾-inches and Andrew Zobel was fifth in the discus at 117-feet, 4-inches.
