Waverly cross country runs at Bob Greene Invitational
The Waverly girls took fourth, while the boys took fifth at the Bob Green Invitational at Newark Valley on Friday.
The girls finished with a team score of 120, Elmira won at 21, while the boys had 200 and Maine-Endwell won at 39.
Kaylee Uhl was ninth on the girls side in 20:53.8 and Kelsey Frank took 23rd in 22:34.1, while Katelyn Moore was 25th in 22:38.8.
Kylene Chandler was 34th in 23:59.7 and Audri Frisbie was 37th in 24:38.4.
Sidney Shaffer was 42nd in 25:38.8 and Kalie Herriman was 50th in 27:49.7.
For the boys, Andy Kinsley was 25th in 18:26.7 and Randy Chandler was 38th in 18:55.7, while Collin Traub was 41st in 19:00.2.
Garrett Sutryk was 55th in 19:34.7 and Rich Nortrhop was 76th in 22:25.2, followed by Brody Sprague wass 77th in 22:27.8.
Kacey Madigan finished 81st in 23:06.2.
In the boys junior high race, Waverly was third at 70 points, Corning won at 26.
Waverly's Zach VanHouten was ninth in 9:52.4, Jared Vascoe was 11th in 9:56.3 and Matt VanHouten was 12th in 9:58.7.
Nate Bennett was 15th in 10:05.1 and Zach Lockwood was 39th in 10:36.8.
For the modified girls, Waverly's Kate Oteng-Bediako was 21st in 11:46.2 and Deanna Chandler was 23rd in 11:48.2, followed by Lyndsey Moore in 11:49. Madison Kittle finished 39th in 12:54.1.
