Waverly and Notre Dame's swimmers competed in the Section IV Class sectionals with Notre Dame finishing seventh in Class A and Waverly taking fifth in Class C.

In Class A Notre Dame had 114, while Horsheads won with 541. Waverly had 196 in Class C and Lansing won at 453.

Notre Dame's Frances VanderMeer, Molly Craig, Dillan Leonard and Catherine Craig were sixth in the 200 medley relay in 2:05.41 and Molly Craig was fourth in the 200 IM in 2:18.88.

VanderMeer finished second in the 50 free in 24.74 and in the 500 free Molly Craig was fifth in 5:36.73.

In the 100 back VanderMeer took second in 1:01.09 and the four finished seventh in the 400 free relay in 4:16.73.

VanderMeer already qualified for states on time in the 50 free and the 100 back.

Waverly's team of Chenelle Huddleston, Kennedy Wheeler, Sage Burt and Kelcey Madigan finished fifth in the 200 medley relay in 2:13.74 and Sam Goble finished fourth in the 200 free in 2:09.37.

In the 100 fly Wheeler finished seventh in 1:10.57 and Goble was third in the 100 free in 57.83.

Daylen Smith was third in the 500 free in 5:55.99 and in the 200 free relay Waverly finished sixth in 1:52.42 with Goble, Smith, Burt and Meagan Stanton.

Madigan was sixth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.56 and Waverly took fifth in the 400 free relay in 4:10.98 with a team of Stanton, Smith, Wheeler and Goble.
