ITHACA, N.Y. - The Waverly Wolverines and Notre Dame Crusaders took part in the Southern Tier High School Invitational on Saturday at Cornell University.

Notre Dame's Deborah Diarra finished 10th in the 55 in 7.76 and teammate Jenny Smithers finished ninth in the 55 hurdles in 9.45.

Waverly's Jimmy Heffner was 13th in the 55 hurdles in 9.10 and in the 600 Sam Goble of Waverly finished sixth in 1:42.42, while Notre Dame's Emma Booth was 14th in 1:45.94 and Waverly's Kaylee Uhl was 15th in 1:46.07.

Diarra was 14th in the 300 in 44.51 and in the 4x200 relay Victoria Schutrum, Booth, Diarra and Smithers took fourth in 1:53.08.

In the 4x400 relay Waverly's Goble, Uhl, Danielle Burkhart and Katelyn Moore finished fifth in 4:16.20 and in the girls' pole vault Sidney Shaffer finished fourth at 9-feet.

Notre Dame's Rob Johnson was ninth in the weight throw at 35-feet, 11-inches and in the girls' high jump Waverly's Meagan Stanton was ninth at 4-feet, 8-inches.
