WAVERLY - The Wolverines boys' swim team improved to 4-1 with a 97-83 win over Watkins Glen.

The Wolverines were led by quadruple winners John Hallett and Josh Mastrantuono. Gary Moorehead was a triple winner and Lucas Beardsley anchored the 200 medley relay for his first varsity win.

Brandon Anderson and Mike Girolamo also were part of winning relays on the day.

Unlike Waverly's previous meets they swam to a 1-2 finish in the 200 medley relay. Hallett, Mastrantuono, Anderson and Beardsley won with a time of 2:03.99.

In the 200 free Watkins Glen went 1-2 with Waverly's Mike Girolamo placing third in 2:07.22.

Mastrantuono won the 200 IM in 2:12.52 and in the 50 free Hallett took first in 23.00.

Waverly's Brody Sprague was second in diving at 107.20 and in the 100 fly Anderson took second in 1:05.99.

Hallett won the 100 free in 52.03, followed by Girolamo (56.76).

In the 500 free Moorehead won in 5:45.60 and Brandon Whitley took third at 5:56.42.

In the 100 back Moorehead won in 1:10.05 and Mastrantuono won the 100 breast in 1:08, followed by Tanner Burt in 1:11.62.

Mastrantuono, Moorehead, Hallett and Girolamo won the 400 free relay in 3:46.64,
