Waverly remained undefeated on the season as they beat Newark Valley 66-36 in IAC girl's basketball action Friday.

The Wolverines jumped out to a 23-6 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Reylyn Schwartzhoff led the way with 19 points, six boards and four steals while Sabrina Bowman added 18 points, including four threes, and six assists.

Jordan Raupers added seven points while Kylie Newman and Emily Walker had six points each. Raupers also had five steals.

Emiley Myers netted four points, McKhenna Mattison chipped in with three, Taylor Bodine had two while Victoria Cron netted one.

Hannah Luszczek led the Cardinals with 15 points.

Waverly won the JV game 43-35 as Kiana Manuel scored 17 and Elle Nittinger added 13.

The Wolverines travel to SVE on Tuesday.

Tioga 66, Odessa-Montour 17

Hannah Manwaring had a double-double to lead the Tigers to an IAC girl's basketball win Friday.

Manwaring had 16 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals. Sierra Beebe chipped in with 15 points while Callie Patsellis netted 10 points with five steals and three assists.

Natalie Burns added eight points while Lexi Swagler chipped in with five. Emily Schweiger had four points and five boards, Sarah Whitney had five points, five steals and eight assists with Dani Barto and Maddie Tinney had two points each.

Tioga won the JV game 49-38 behind 16 from Olivia Howland.

The Tigers host Newfield Tuesday.
