Waverly tops Dryden
WAVERLY N.Y. - The Waverly boys picked up another win in the pool Tuesday, defeating Dryden 105-70.
The Wolverines started off with the lead by winning the 200 medley relay as a team of John Hallett, Brighton Wood, Jake Hogan and Louie Sandroni swam a time of 2:05.36.
Waverly's Nate Marshall won the 200 free with a 1:59.40 while teammate Zach Rynone was second. In the 200 I.M. James Rynone took first with a 2:25, followed by Hogan in third. Jeff Mastrantuono then won the 50 free in :23.63 with Tyler Doane in second.
In diving, Steve Wright was second and Nick Peterson was third.
In the 100-yard fly, Wood took second with Hallett third, while in the 100 free, Marshall got his second individual win of the meet with a 53.65, while Doane was second.
Mastrantuono earned his second individual win with a 5:29.57 in the 500 free, followed by Zach Rynone in second and Hogan in third to complete the sweep.
In the 200 free, a Wolverine team of Nate Marshall, James Rynone, Zach Rynone and Mastrantuono won with a 1:44.76.
Hallett won the 100 back in 1:05.39 while James Rynone took the 100 breast stroke in 1:12.66. Wood was second for Waverly.
The Wolverines will travel to Southern Cayuga Thursday.
