The biggest opportunity occurred for Newark Valley in the first half. Cole Ford fell down inside the box and was awarded a penalty kick and Casey Ford took it. Luke Hoose stopped the shot and swallowed up any opportunity of a rebound.

"Our regular season ends at 6-8-1 which is a huge improvement over the 0-14-1 season last year and a disappointment to where we should have been. We will spend next week preparing to enter sectional play. I am expecting to be in the high end of the 9-16 seeds, which will mean that we will travel for that game."
