Three first half goals propelled the Hornets past Williamson in NTL boys' soccer action over the weekend.

A Gillan Alafoginis penalty kick started things off, followed by Erik Stemcosky scoring off an Aaron Dillman assist. Cody DeHaas had the final goal off a Josiah Hill helper.

"It was a very professional win by the boys," Wellsboro coach John Shaffer said. "We bossed the first half of the game and were able to get three goals in a seven minute stretch of the first half. In the second half we did not pass the ball as well but defended and did what was needed to get the clean sheet. I have to commend the work effort of the entire team, they came out with a good energy."

Williamson out shot Wellsboro 11-8 while the Hornets had a 7-3 corner kick advantage.

Wellsboro will host Northern Potter Tuesday.
