Wellsboro edged Cowanesque Valley 4-3 in NTL boys' tennis action Monday.

At first singles CV's Chandler Mastin beat Aaron Dillman 7-5, 6-4 while at second singles Wellsboro's Garrett Carr beat Brian Fulmer 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The Hornets took third singles as Spencer Kriestler beat Dean Lee 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 and fourth singles with Josh Cooper beating Cameron Lewis 6-4, 6-2.

CV's Skyler Schmidt beat David Dihn 6-4, 6-1 at fifth singles to keep their hopes alive.

CV won first doubles to knot it at three-all with Mastin and Fulmer beating Dillman and Carr 7-5, 5-7, 1-6, 10-7. Wellsboro's duo of Kriestler and Cooper beat Sewell and Lee 6-2, 6-3.

Galeton 4, Towanda 3

Black Knight David Rodenhizer won first singles over Jordan Dugan 6-1, 6-2 while Galeton took the next three singles matches.

At second singles Dakota Shadle beat Danny Christian 7-5, 6-3, Tyler Dugan defeated Kevin Blackman 6-0, 6-0 and DAn Hatch defeated Christin Thomason 6-2, 6-1.

At fifth singles Towanda's Christian Basse beat Mitchell Smith 6-0, 6-1.

At first doubles Rodenhizer and Christian beat Dugan and Dugan 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 while at second doubles Shadle and Hatch beat Thomason and Dawson Wright 6-1, 6-0 to secure the victory.

In exhibition action Galeton's Jon Parcell and Jacob Batterson beat Blackman and Basse 6-0, 6-3.

The Knights will host Wellsboro at 1 p.m. today.
