EAGLES MERE - Wellsboro's Zach Bower came into Saturday on the bubble to qualify for Regionals.

He was tied for fourth with three other players with top six moving on.

And while Bower didn't improve upon the 83 he shot on Thursday, he didn't shot any worse either, shooting a 166 to earn him a spot in the Eastern Regional tournament on October 15.

Bower took third overall with Danville's Austin Renz the champion with a 149 while Lewisburg's Ben Apple was second with a 160 in the Class AA District IV golf championships Saturday.

Four players tied at 167 with a tie breaker needed to name the other three qualifiers. Ultimately, it was Central Columbia's Zach Taylor, Danville's Gavin Geiger and Central Columbia's Josh Levitski earning the final slots with a tiebreaker.

Those three shot a par on the first hole while Benton's Dominic Vitale shot a bogey.

Bower's teammate Brett Kendrick finished just two strokes behind his teammate with a 169, shooting five strokes better on Saturday with an 82.

Mansfield' Ryan Campbell shot an 85 on the day with a 174, Athens' Zach Sitzman shot an 85 on the day to finish with a 175, Towanda's Nick Innocenzo shot a 91 to finish with a 179, Wyalusing's Holdan Hitchcock shot a 90 to finish with a 182, Mansfield's JP Shaw shot a 96 to end up at 184 and Wellsboro's Blair Carson finished with a 99 to end the two day tournament with a 191.

In the Class AAA tournament Shikellamy's CJ Tyler won with a 150 while Selinsgrove's Justin Geedey shot a 153 to qualify for regionals.

In the AA girls' tournament Milton's Katie Behnert won with a 188 while Loyalsock's Hannah Zurich (201) and Warrior Runs' Mackenzie Mathna (205) also qualified.

In AAA girls' Shikellamy's Raven Fatool won the title with a 178.

The Eastern Regional tournament on Tuesday, October 15 at Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood.
