Williamsport tops Jamestown
Williamsport defeated Jamestown 3-2 Sunday.
Jamestown took an early lead against Cutters starter Drew Anderson in the top of the 3rd inning when Adam Frazier drove home Candon Myles with a RBI groundout to make it 1-0 Jammers.
Justin Parr would tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd inning with an RBI double to right field to plate Malquin Canelo and make it 1-1. Canelo reached on a two-out triple, his first, to right field. For Parr, it was his 10th double of the season and 19 RBI of the season.
Dylan Cozens gave the Cutters a lead in the bottom of the 6th inning with a solo home run, his 8th, to right center field to make it 2-1 Cutters. For Cozens it was his 34th RBI and his first home run against a left handed pitcher.
Jamestown would tie the game in the top of the 8th inning when Jin-De Jhang delivered a pinch-hit single through the left side to plate Austin Meadows and make it 2-2 heading to the bottom half of the 8th inning.
Nine innings would not be enough to settle this contest between Jamestown and Williamsport.
Malquin Canelo would lead off the bottom half of the 10th inning against Jared Lakind. Canelo, facing a 2-2 count would connect for a walk-off, solo home run over the left field wall to give the Cutters a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Jamestown Jammers. The home run was the first of the season for Canelo.
