Wyalusing, Athens wrestlers each win two
WYALUSING - The Wyalusing Rams and Athens Wildcats each picked up wins over Wellsboro and Liberty on Tuesday night.
The Rams beat Liberty 81-0 and Wellsboro 57-18, while Athens topped Wellsboro 42-29 and Liberty 65-18.
For the Rams against Liberty, Joe Champluvier won by fall in 1:29 over Matt Kinley at 140 and at 145 Alan Blaisure pinned Neil Hafer in 58 seconds.
At 152, Chris McDonald beat Mike McCaulley 6-4 and Taylor Woznicki pinned Cody Hopkins in 5:47 at 160. At 171, Mike Cobb won by forfeit and Mike Clark pinned Dalton Spotts in 3:04 at 189, while Clayton Force pinned Devin Sandor in 1:36 at 215.
Pete Champluvier pinned Darcy Litzelman in 1:03 at 285 and at 103 Brandon Kelley pinned Lucas Groover in 1:29.
At 112, Davey Brown won by forfeit and Zack Dean (119) and Bryan Brown (125) won by forfeit, before Ryan Hart pinned Starteya Pais in 1:34 at 130. Tyler Thompson won by forfeit at 135.
Against Wellsboro, the Rams got a win from Joe Champluvier by fall over Ryan Moss in 2:31 at 140 and Jake Clemens of Wellsboro beat Blaisure 7-4 at 145.
Brenton Acorn of Wellsboro pinned McDonald in 3:39 at 152, and Woznicki pinned Wellsboro's Chad Daugherty in 3:23 at 160. Cobb pinned Marc Straniere in 3:59 at 171 and Clark beat Aaron Moss of Wellsboro 12-8 at 189. Force pinned Eli Kennedy in 1:59 at 215 and at 285 Josh Mihalik of Wellsboro beat Champluvier 3-1. Kelley pinned Wellsboro's Adam Cleveland in 15 seconds at 103 and Nathaniel House of Wellsboro pinned Davey Brown in 48 seconds at 119, before Dean pinned Wellsboro's Edward Jackson in 1:45 at 119. Bryan Brown won by forfeit at 125 and Hart won by forfeit at 130, before Thompson pinned Kody Webster of Wellsboro in 18 seconds.
For Athens against Wellsboro, Ryan Moss beat Marshall LeBlanc 3-1 at 140 and Clemens of Wellsboro beat Kyle Sunseri of Athens by technical fall 22-5 in 5:52 at 145.
Athens' Garrett Russell pinned Acorn of Wellsboro in 3:51 at 152 and Mike Testen pinned Daugherty in 2:35 at 160.
Matt Montrose of Athens pinned Straniere in 4:25 at 171 and Wellsboro's Aaron Moss won by forfeit at 189. At 215 Todd Hall of Athens pinned Kennedy in nine seconds and Wellsboro's Mihalik beat Nate Thompson of Athens 3-0 at 285.
Cleveland won by forfeit at 103 for Wellsboro and at 112 Nate House of Wellsboro pinned Camryn Fletcher of Athens in 16 seconds.
There was a double forfeit at 119 and David White of Athens pinned Edward Jackson of Wellsboro in 48 seconds at 125, while Tim Standon of Athens won by forfeit at 130 and Ben Knecht of Athens pinned Webster in 19 seconds at 135.
Against Liberty, at 140 Sunseri pinned Kinley in 3:00 and Liberty's Hafer won by forfeit at 145. Russell won by fall over McCaulley in 1:07 at 152 and at 160 Testen won by technical fall 17-2 in 3:16 over Hopkins.
Athens' Aaron Padilla won by forfeit at 171 and at 189 Montrose pinned Liberty's Spotts in 44 seconds. At 215 Hall pinned Liberty's Sandoe in 1:26 and Liberty's Litzelman pinned Cody Souder of Athens in 15 seconds at 285.
At 103 Liberty's Groover got the win by forfeit and Athens' Fletcher (112), White (119) and Stanton (125) all won by forfeit, before Knecht pinned Pais in 32 seconds and Athens' LeBlanc won by forfeit.
Canton 47, Montoursville 28
The Warriors started things off at 189 as Landis Zimmerman won by forfeit and at 215, Aaron Miller beat Kevin Miller 3-1 in overtime. At 285 Montoursville's Nick Dawson pinned Krish Ishler in 4:43 to cut the deficit to 9-6, but Darren Killian won a major decision over Tyler Hughes 17-8 at 103 to make it 13-6.
Montoursville made it 13-12 as Caleb Pearson pinned Brooks Gleckner in 1:27 at 112, before Canton's Zach Pettigrew pinned Rober Jean in 2:21 at 119 to make it 19-12.
Montoursville got a win by major decision from Ben Carey over Dylan Killian at 125, 13-4 to make it 19-16 and Montoursville went up 22-19 at 130 as William Page pinned Josiah Bardo in 2:47.
Canton won the next four matches all by fall to seal the victory as Garth Mahosky pinned Jake Carey in 43 seconds and at 140 Bryce Baker pinned Cordell Page in 2:59. Codie Ross pinned Garrett Evans in 2:28 at 145 and Ben Pepper pinned Nate Katzmmaier in 2:40 at 152.
Montoursville's Caleb Lomax pinned Allen Westerbaan in 37 seconds at 160 and Kaleb Route of Canton won 8-0 by major decision over James Welliver at 171.
Troy 45, Williamson 32
Williamson's Logan Everett beat Troy's Chad Vermilya 17-4 by major decision at 103, and Troy's Clint Vermilya beat Dean Crouch of Williamson by major decision 12-2 at 112.
Williamson's Anthony Saxbury pinned Darton Harwick of Troy in 1:15 at 119 and Troy's Brayden Calkins pinned Chris McCall of Williamson in 32 seconds.
Troy's Alex Summers pinned Nathan Ring of Williamson in 3:41 at 130 and at 135 Nick Werner of Williamson pinned Tyler McCormick in 2:35.
Williamson's Jeff Shuster won by major decision 11-2 over Michael Segear of Troy at 140 and at 145 Shane Rockwell of Troy pinned Jason Boch of Williamson in 1:48.
The Trojans' Brando Spiak pinned Mickey Wilbur of Williamson in 1:44 at 152 and Logan Weed of Troy pinned Joel Walen of Williamson in 1:56 at 160, while Beau Parker of Troy won by technical fall 15-0 over Roger Gee of Williamson at 171.
Williamson's Jack Gruver (189) and Macenzie Button (215) each won by forfeit and Stephen Muir of Troy pinned Macory Button of Williamson in 1:36 at 285.
