SAYRE - Wyalusing won the North Section Junior High tournament Friday.

The Outstanding Wrestler was Athens' Brian Courtney, who won the 100 pound weight class with a 6-2 decision over Wyalusing's Creighton Edsell.

At 75 pounds Athens' Chris Horton scored a 13-3 win over Canton's Makyah Gleckner while at 80 Williamson Hunter Thompson scored a 7-6 decision over Wyalusing's Darren Schum.

At 85 Sayre's Nate Nordin decisioned Wyalusing's Joey Doss 6-2 and at 90 Athens' Brock Horton major decisioned Wyalusing's Ray Hallett 15-3. At 95 Wyalusing's Luke Yonkin beat Athens' Gage Cannevens 9-0.

At 105 Wyalusing's Josh Haley scored a 3-0 decision over Athens' Nate Bradley, at 110 Athens' Brandon Barry majored Wyalusing's Taylor Schum 11-1, at 115 Wyalusing's Denton Porter scored a fall over Troy's Gabe Ceeley and at 122 North Penn's Carl Dinger pinned Northeast Bradford's Blaine Russell.

At 130 Towanda's D.J. Knolles pinned Wyalusing's Mikey Wilcox, at 138 Northeast Bradford's Brian Horton decisioned Wyalusing's Eddie Mapes, at 145 Athens' Cody Jennings pinned Wylalusing's Ryan Kipp, at 155 Troy's Ben Sherman pinned Northeast Bradford's Alec Morris and at 165 Canton's Johnny Bowman was the champion with Towanda's Ryan Grimes taking second.

Wyalusing's Cody Tunnicliff was the champion at 185 with Towanda's Sam Hay runner-up while at 210 Towanda's Mitchell Peters pinned Sayre's Eugene McCarty. At 285 Wyalusing's Dawson Otis pinned North Penn's Justin Kriner.
