The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for seven counties in northeastern Pennsylvania, including Bradford and Susquehanna, as well as for Sullivan County in southeastern New York state.

The tornado watch is in effect until 7 p.m. tonight, according to the Bradford County Emergency Management Agency.

A tornado watch means that the conditions exist at this time for the possibility of a tornado to form, said John Ambrusch III, coordinator of the Bradford County Emergency Management Agency.

“It does not mean that a tornado was seen or that one is actually developing,” he said.
